I can't believe it!!!Scared
I tripped over the back door step yesterday and my full weight went on my operated foot with a crash.. It was so painful. Iam so gutted as I have the hospital on Friday and was so close.. I'm really worried that I have undone the work the surgeon has done. Everyone tells me it should be fine but I can't help worrying - Sad

If I were you, I wouldn't wait until Friday, I'd phone the surgeon's secretary and get seen asap, to avoid complications. Fingers crossed everything's fine.

Oh you poor thing! I'd try to be seen sooner if possible but in the meantime, keep off your feet and rest the leg as much as you can.

Let us know how you get on x

Poor you, what a horrible thing to happen. I hope by now you've had some reassurance from the medics.

i have written a bit, about my woes today on SURGERY (fusion opp in the morning).

did we fall at the same time? Take care, this is what my mum keeps saying bless her she lives in Eire, and i know she would love to care for me, dad is poorly over there, i have a house full, daughter and grandsons here and they are all very helpful, i am very lucky really, but already hate my independence.

Let me know how you got on, have you goe a half plaster? my foot is still very swollen, hubby said that its to be expected as i only had opp on Monday 11 30 am.

Hi everyone

Thankyou so much for your concern.

Well all is well I think with my foot ( yet to have xrays ) I have had my cast off today and another put on. I think I was feeling a little too optomistic hoping I could weight bear now. I am only able to partially weight bear still using the crutches for another 6 WEEKS!!!!! I then see the consultant, have my cast removed and an xray. On the positive side my foot looks a lot straighter and the scarring is very neat and healing nicely..

Anne -Marie

Hope you are feeling okay after your op.. and it's still a full plaster that I have.. How long do they expect you to remain in plaster? Please take it easy and no more falling Smile

Kelly x
